School’s out for summer!

Peace, quiet…gone…forever!

Can’t I go to camp?

Kids home, disturbing.

Hubby home, so annoying.

Twelve weeks of them home.

No…I’m NOT happy.

Summer goes on faaaaaar too long

with everyone home.

September will come.

It will be here soon enough.

Counting down the days!

I’d rather suck the jowls of a rabid bulldog than have them all home. At once. Thankfully, the girls will be going to camp for 3 weeks…SLEEP AWAY CAMP!! And, my step son is being sent to camp…his aunt is sponsoring him…isn’t that sweet (the gods do look down upon me, on occasion.) But…I’ll have my littlest guy here…no one wants to sponsor him. And…my oldest son…Mopey. Hubby will be teaching Summer School…if I sacrifice enough goats and virgins to the appropriate deities.

But…I will survive! Oh yes! I will! Because I’m going to run over to Trader Joes. And, I’m going to stock up on their Chilean brand wine. And, I am going to become an alcoholic for the summer.

They’ll be home at noon today. I think I’ll start my road to alcoholism…NOW!!

p.s…i can’t space my haikus…wordpress won’t let me edit the spacing between each haiku so…forgive me!

I’m telling ya, you need to come down to Florida. We’d have a great time. There is a way to space the lines in WordPress…. hold down shift, then hit enter, that should take out the space between lines. Hope that helps.

Bring the little guy and come see us in the woods. leave hubby home with the rest of them . We have a waterpark of sorts and a nice new city pool. And we can sit out on the deck and drink wine while the kids play in the wading pool (not a nice big built-in like yours, but then ours didn’t have frogs mating on it all spring). You’ll have to bring the Chilean wine, though, we don’t have Trader joes.

Have you tried ear plugs? ;)

I am so very sorry for you, but it did make a great haiku!

I have until the 24th before the kiddos are out of school. They will only be home a few weeks before summer school starts however that will be half days:(
You and your youngest could always visit my neck of the woods! I have a feeling I will be joining you on becoming a summer alky!

  6. Kim Says:

Man I wished I could go away to sleep away camp. Either that or invite me over for some Trader Joe wine!!

  7. This is why we are getting a pool pass and this is why we are going to Buffalo for three weeks.

  8. oohhhh, i’m sooooo sorry! that’s why the roo-girl is going to summer school AND has cheer practice after summer school two days a week!!

  9. Maggie Says:

I hope you will make the most of it and that it won’t be nearly as bad as you think. If not, wine might help :)

  10. You need Gloria Gaynor singing in the background of this post.
We’re still in school over here/ I wasn’t bragging, just sharing the facts. We’ll still be in school until mid-July. Still not bragging…. sorry, I had to slip away for a happy dance :-)

  11. Ugh, the spacing on wordpress drives me nuts sometimes!!!

Yay! You are back in haiku form. I’m with you. Having them home all the time is NOT good for you or them. I’ll partake of the wine.

While you are at Trader Joe’s buying wine stock up on those delicious chocolate covered sunflower seeds and think of me while you are having your snack. I love those things! Too bad we don’t have a Trader Joe’s anywhere close!
